Hope you are fine.
Today we are going to talk about the brand that is super famous but yet getting recognition – BECCA
BECCA is an Australian based brand and yes some people think it is originally from the USA. It was launched pretty ling time ago, around 18 years ago. However, it did not get much recognition and in 2011/13 it had a major revamp in order to survive and get new customers. The biggest fame came after BECCA collaborated with an American youtuber Jacklyn Hill and almost straight after Estée Lauder bought the brand to support and expand it. Now Becca is sold almost everywhere and getting bigger and bigger.
The star product is its pressed highlighters and every year there a new shades coming out. My experience with Becca is small, I only tried its concealer which I did not like much. Plus at that time you could only found Becca at SPACE NK (now you can shop the brand at BOOTS) which was not super comfortable for me. And of course there were no products that could attract me. Simple.
This year Becca introduced its first bullet lipstick – ULTIMATE LIPSTICK LOVE – a moisturising lipstick with full coverage and long lasting. It took me a time to get this lipstick since it did not arrive to the UK on the same time as the US market. Only while being France I managed to get this lipstick (however, there was not much choice at the french Sephora). The design of the lipstick is really nice – heavy bullet with a magnetic cup and extra cardboard packaging. What I also liked is that on the Becca’s website there is a big chart with cool/neautral/warm undertones to get the right shade for you. Was really easy to choose what I want. It has a little fragrance which is not super annoying. The lipstick is made in Canada, probably since it was bought by Estée Lauder – the production was moved there.
Lets start the review!
PETAL – cool dusty rose shade with a creamy finish. The shade I got is really nice and suited my natural lip colour. The shade range at the french Sephora was really bland but I was really lucky to get what I wanted. The formula is really creamy and I did not have to apply extra coats to get the full coverage, managed to do it with just one swipe. The lipstick stayed almost all day and survived pretty much all meals. It did not bleed but creased slightly, however, it was easy to touch up with my finger to remove lines. Overall, a nice solid lipstick that worked really nice.
Becca has created a really nice creamy lipstick that feels and looks luxurious, does not dry your lips and has and pretty long lasting formula. The shade range is also really nice and gives you an advice how to choose the right shade. I am satisfied with this lipstick and will try to purchase a red shade to create the whole image about the lipstick collection.
If you are interested in one of these lipsticks, shop the range at Boots (£20 each) not affiliated
